Sudborough Green Lodge is comprised of two cottages situated in the middle of Fermyn Woods, near Brigstock village in Northamptonshire. Cottage 1 (left side) is used for school workshops and other events and is also available for artists to stay and conduct research, develop new work or work collaboratively.

Our aim is that the Lodge will become a Laboratory for Artistic Research and Learning through:

  • Taking a creative approach to the whole development and use of the site, allowing the unknown and unpredictable to occur.
  • Inviting multi-disciplinary artists working in a range of art forms to use the Lodge as a resource for research, experimentation, developing and testing ideas and producing new work.
  • Connecting urban culture with the rural landscape and rural culture with the urban landscape.
  • Using the site as a resource for educational work with children, young people and adults.

If you are an artist interested in staying at the Lodge please contact us for current Hire Costs and to discuss availability.

Please see the section under Artists in Residence if you are interested in taking part in Fermynwoods Contemporary Art’s Programme.
