Chris Wood
Light
Sculpture and reliefs in glass

Chris Wood lives and works in the Cambridgeshire
fens. Her work is an exploration of the visual and physical qualities
of light through the medium of glass, and includes smaller pieces for
sale as well as architectural glass to commission. She is currently working
on a major work for the new Joint Services Building in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire.
Wood exhibits nationally and gained international recognition in 2000
when selected for the New Glass Review, an international competition organised
by Corning Museum of Glass, New York.
Chris Wood gained a first class honours
degree in furniture design as a mature student, and an MA in Glass from
the Royal College of Art. She is now a successful professional artist
exhibiting in galleries and undertaking commissions for architectural
glass.
Chris Wood will be showing new work commissioned
for this exhibition in both the gallery and in the garden. All works will
be for sale.

and light as artistic media.

Chris’ illustrated talk about her
exhibition at Fermynwoods will discuss the impact of the Cambridgeshire
Fenland landscape and the work of other artists as influences on her own
art practice.
