We want to hire your art works

We have been successful in getting funding from A&B to run a hire scheme of art work at Vincent Sykes & Higham in the Autumn. If any artists in the county of Northamptonshire are interested to apply, please read on:

The Solicitors, Vincent Sykes & Higham in Thrapston, East Northamptonshire invite artists living or working in Northamptonshire to apply for selection in a hire scheme at their offices. A wide range of media and subject matter welcome, but applicants must be aware of suitability of work for an office environment.

How to apply: Send one A4 sheet of paper/thin card (can use both sides) to Rosalind Stoddart at the above address. Application to include – images available for selection, your name, your address and contact details, and sale price of each piece of work.

Deadline for applications: June 7th 2004

Process : Applications will be assessed by a panel including representatives of Vincent Sykes & Higham, Fermynwoods and the local Arts and Heritage Development Officer. Then each member of staff at Vincent Sykes & Higham will choose a piece of work which will hired by the company for 6 months at a rate of 5% of the sale price per month. Work in a price range up to £1,500 is acceptable.

Work will also be available for sale subject to 35% commission.

The exhibition will be open to the public in conjunction with the Northamptonshire Open Studios event as well as for several other organised functions.

Hire Dates: 30th July 2004 – 28th Jan 2005
