Since 2005 Artist Dan Dubowitz and Architect Patrick Duerden have been tracking down abandoned fascist buildings in northern Italy, In particular fascist holiday camps. What started as a series of road trips has became an extraordinary exploration of the archaeology of the present. Fascismo Abbandonato takes the form of an artwork interpreting the extraordinary forgotten monuments discovered on the Tuscan and Emilio-Romanian coasts (2005 - 2008). The portrait of these monuments is presented as a series of photographic prints by Dan Dubowitz in conjunction with text by Patrick Duerden.
