'Wastelands'
Dan Dubowitz

17 June - 10 July 2005

Dan Dubowitz: Wastelands, an exhibition at Fermynwoods Contemporary Art as part of architecture week 2005.

This project at Fermynwoods gallery is an exhibition of photographs and a film piece by Dan Dubowitz as part of Architecture Week 2005. Dubowitz is a practice based architectural theoretician, whose field of investigation encompasses buildings and spaces abandoned as a consequence of the passage of time and of progress in human affairs. The works to be shown are part of Dubowitz’ Wastelands series.

The exhibition is being organised against the background of proposals for the redevelopment of Corby New Town and the expansion of Milton Keynes. These proposals of national importance will have major economic, social and environmental impacts, for better or for worse, in Northamptonshire.

The exhibition will build on themes and concerns of other recent exhibitions at Fermynwoods including landscape, the contemporary sublime and photography.

The exhibition will run from 17th June until the 10th July 2005.
