This exhibition is of work by four artists working with paper. The diversity of practice within this medium is amply demonstrated by work that includes Bryan’s delicate cut outs, McGeever’s outdoor sculpture, Richter’s large scale polychromatic drawing and Wilson’s papermaking and fibre pulp constructions. Although sharing a common medium, the work of these artists also demonstrates a breadth of concerns from Richter’s preoccupation with the human psyche, to Wilson and Bryan’s formal approaches to process and composition and McGeever’s interest in the architectonic.

The artists have been chosen by open selection. Fermynwoods’ intention is to provide them the opportunity
to develop their artistic practice at important turning points
in their professional careers.
