September 2016 – April 2017

Virginie Litzler
Corby Schools

Our Associate Artist, Virginie Litzler, photographs and interacts with people in everyday circumstances to explore how they belong to and move through places, finding ways to communicate and experiment with gravity.

Virginie will be working with schools groups and members of public in Corby, as part of Deep Roots Tall Trees’ Our Woods project.

Virginie will be delivering a series of experiential workshops aiming to shift how students might perceive trees and feel weightlessness in Corby’s woodland, using a series of looking devices, and creating constructions that highlight the space around trees.

Virginie will also be working with Tobias Zehntner to assist students in experiencing shadows in the woods at dusk, where light and technology will play with perception, asking the question “How do you make a tree move?”
