Seminar
Between Sculpture and Drawing
10am- 4pm
Price: £60 (includes lunch)*
A day of talks exploring how sculptors draw, and the consequences of their dialogue between two and three dimensions. Includes artist’s talks by Doug Cocker, Deborah Harty & Michael Shaw, in addition to analyses from a critical and curatorial perspective by Michael Harrison (Kettles Yard), Mary Doyle (The Drawing Room) and Sophie Raikes (Henry Moore Institute).

Mono-Print Screen Printing Workshop for young people
10am- 4pm
Age: 8 upwards
Price: £12 (lunch not included) *

You will learn to create bold and colourful prints by working directly onto the screen with crayon and brush and variety of water based pigments.


Saturday 31 May
Kinetic Wire Sculpture workshop for adults
Tutor: Matthew Sanderson
10am- 4pm
Maximum eight people
Price: £60 (includes lunch)*

Through using different types of wire you will be introduced to different techniques of creating moving sculptural forms. The aim is to introduce the familiar in an original way and to look for beauty in the previously overlooked and simple designs that
convey movement and freedom.

Sunday 8 June
Screen Printing workshop for the family
10am- 4pm
Price: £12 per person or £40 per family -
( not including lunch) *

Using water based inks, torn and cut paper stencils the whole family will all be able to explore screen printing through a variety of layering techniques, ending up with spontaneous and expressive prints to take home.

Sunday 6 July

A day about the Purple Emperor Butterfly
Talk, photograph and walk.
Tutors: Matthew Oates and Oliver Bancroft
10am - 4pm
Price £60 (includes lunch)

Start at the Water Tower and view Bancroft's beautiful film Apatura Iris.
Hear the artist and butterfly expert (Oates) talk about these magnificent creatures. Day includes lunch followed by an afternoon of walking, looking and photographing the Purple Emperors in nearby Fermyn Woods.


Sunday 20 July

Pinhole Camera Workshop
Tutor: Chrystel Lebas
10am-4pm
Price £60 (includes lunch)

Start at the Water Tower, hear exhibiting artist Lebas talk about her work in the exhibition and her working practice. Lebas will give a guided walk through nearby Fermyn Woods, where you will make cameras, photograph and
process images.

Be inspired by the work in our current exhibition - from wacky flooring, mysterious woods and magical butterflies.
