Simon Heijdens “Tree” installation is now showing at Corby Cube, from dusk til dawn, from 30 October – 6 November 2010.
Visitors will be able to witness Heijdens work grow and respond to external stimuli, swaying in the wind, growing, and shedding leaves as visitors walk past.

Join us for an exciting evening bidding for work by local and national artists, many of whom have a long standing connection with Fermynwoods Contemporary Art.
Original works of art include paintings, prints and photographs and drawings, touching on the theme of the environment. Prices start at well under £100. Catalogues and bidding cards will be issued along with tickets for the event. Advance bids can be made by phone on 01832 733009. Fermynwoods staff can also represent bidders at the auction itself.
£10 per person, includes wine and refreshments.
Artists will receive 50% of the sales price and the remaining income will support our work with schools and communities across Northamptonshire.

We are now inviting artists to submit work for a new online Open Exhibition (15 Nov 2010 – 14 Nov 2011).
We would like artists to propose new digital artwork that relates to art, ecology and the environment, which would be suitable for presentation over the Internet. This could include text-based work, series of photographs, sound or moving image.
The submissions will be judged by:
Andrew Langford (Reader of Fine Art & Design, University of Northampton), artist Simon Woolham, and Fermynwoods Staff.
Format
MP4 (preferred format)
Resolution
Standard Definition for submissions: 640 x 480 (4:3 video). If selected, the work will need to be supplied in High Definition (1280 x 720) for the website.
Data Rate
2000 kbits/second for standard definition (500 kbits/second for high definition).
Send a clearly labelled CD/DVD of the work, together with a completed application form to the office address, or email to: info@fermynwoods.co.uk
Please do not submit master copies and include a self-addressed envelope if you would like the disc returned.

From 8th-11th July, we will be showing Tim Simmons’ large scale photographic projections of strange, otherworldly places in Fermyn Woods. Tim has photographed Icelandic volcanoes, bluebell woods, rock pools and quarries at night using artificial lighting. The results are haunting images of familiar and unfamiliar places.
