Kenneth James Martin introduced students to developments in his own practice, assisting them in creating their own large format photographs through hands on experience of a Shen Hao Field camera, photographing walks and various points of interest throughout Fermyn Woods.

Loading the camera with instant film, students were able to see their results on route and could often take photographs home with them at the end of each session.

In these workshops Kenneth also introduced students to using a light meter, developing photographs in a dark room, plus cyanotypes and photograph relief prints, before moving on to mounting and framing their final works.
