As part of Northampton Festival’s 2010 event, BLINK – a series of artist led interventions on Northampton’s historic Market Square, Fermynwoods Contemporary Art co-commissioned a new work by Dutch Artist Simon Heijdens.

In Lightweeds, Heijdens created a series of large-scale digital projections of organic forms that directly responded to their environment through the activity cycles of the passing public or changes in weather. Projected onto several of the most historic facades on the market square these projections emerged, shifted and grew as dusk fell across the late summer evenings.
