This Monday at 8.55am, artist and poet Sophie Herxheimer will be interviewed by BBC Radio Northampton‘s Martin Borley, as she returns to Corby to make new work with the people who live there as part of her residency in Rockingham Forest where she assumes the role of a Creative Consultant.

Talking, walking and working with dog walkers, anglers, twitchers, volunteers and all who use the enduring areas of the ancient Rockingham Forest in Corby, with the aim to create an exciting publication: a tourist guide with a twist, containing emotional maps and personal stories, alongside the wonderful reality with its trees and pathways.

This is a first step towards all sorts of potential future interventions.

Sophie’s residency is a collaboration between Fermynwoods Contemporary Art, Corby’s Woodlands Friends Groups, Corby Community Arts, and Corby Borough Council.
